Open a new canvas 575 x 225 pixels. (Adjust size if you want)

Apply Xenofex1 - Shower door with these setttings.

Effects - Distortion effects - Twirl - 450 degrees (You can play with this number until you get the desired effect.)  Grab your move tool and move this layer to the left so the twirl is on the left hand side of your tag. It should look like this now.

Crop your tag once more.  Duplicate - Mirror - Move copy under 1st swirl - Merge down

Change blend mode to overlay and lower the opacity to 65 or so should look something like this now.

Animated Version

Open A/S  and open Missy's animation.
Back in PSP hide all layers except the swirl and the blue background layer (last 2 on the bottom)
Copy merged and paste as a new animation in A/S
Missy's animation has 8 frames so duplicate your tag to a total of 8 frames. (Shortcut for this is to hold down Ctrl + Shift and hit L once for each frame needed) Leave frame 1 selected.
Activate Missy's animation - Resize with these settings (Shift + S)

Select all frames (Ctrl + A) Put your cursor on frame 1 of Missy's animation left click and keeping button pressed down, grab animation and drag to top left of tag where you want to place it.

Activate Missy's animation and click on undo (or Ctrl + Z) - Mirror frames (Ctrl + M)
Again, grab frame 1 and drag to the right side of your tag.  View animation.  Remember you can click the undo button until you are happy with its placement.  I don't use propagate paste because it doesn't work for me... but if it does for you WTG!
Go back to PSP and hide the frames we just used and un-hide all the ones that were hidden - Copy merged - Paste as a new animation in A/S - Duplicate to a total of 8 frames - Select all - Grab frame 1 and drag on top of your animation.   View your animation if you are happy with it, save as a GIF.

On to the Avatar.

I usually make my avatars from the same banner I'm making.  In PSP open up all the layers of the banner you just made. Shift + D - (Just in case we make a boo boo lol) Activate Crop tool 150 x150 - Grab center node and move to the part you want to use for your avatar - Apply

Delete any layers we don't need - We are re-doing the frame.
Activate very top layer - Add new raster layer - Select all  - Flood fill with #204886 - Apply jeans filter - Keep selected.
Add new raster layer - Flood fill with black - Selections - Modify - Contract 1 - Hit delete on your keyboard - Keep selected - Activate your blue layer - Selections - Modify - Contract 5 - Hit delete on your keyboard - Keep selected - Activate your 1 px black layer - flood fill black - Selections - Modify - Contract 1 - Hit delete on your keyboard - Select none.
Add appropriate copyright, license number and your name or initial.
Again, hide all layers except the swirl and the blue background layer (last 2 on the bottom)
Copy merged and paste as a new animation in A/S - Duplicate your tag to a total of 8 frames.
Activate Missy's animation - Grab frame 1 and drag on top of your tag.
Go back to PSP hide the two layers we were using and un-hide all the others - Copy Merged - Paste as a new animation in A/S - Duplicate to a total of 8 frames - Select all - Grab frame 1 and drag on top of your animation - Preview animation and if you are happy with it save as a GIF.

Here is another version of the same tut using the awesome art of Robert Alvarado.
Phew! We're finally done! This is the first animated tut I've written and I sincerely hope I explained clear enough for you to understand.  Enjoy your new set and hope to see ya back soon!
