Open Paper 5 - Paste as a new layer - Grab your move tool and move the paper down and slightly to the left (optional)

Carefully select the base of the tree as show below:

Starting with the top tree layer name each layer 1, 2 & 3.
Apply Constellation Effect to each individual layer with these settings:

Be sure you click on Random Seed for each layer.
Animation is done and now add any elements you want to your tag.  I used:
Element 19 - Mirror - Flip - Move down to right hand corner - Move underneath tree base layer.
(This was just so I didn't have a white empty spot on the right side lol.)
Element 17 - Resized to 40% - Gradient Glow with these settings:

Duplicate - Mirror - Arrange
Element 23 - Resized to 50%
Element 22 - Resized to 50%

Crop your tag now.
Paste your tube as a new layer - Arrange - Duplicate - Adjust - Blur - Gaussian Blur =3.
Change blend mode to soft light. - Activate original tube layer - Duplicate
Change blend mode to multiply and turn down opacity to around 57%.
Activate original tube layer - Apply Porcelain with these settings:

Apply a drop shadow to your original tube layer
I used V&H=1 - Opacity 30 - Blur 3 Black
Apply same drop shadow to each gift box layers and cup layer.
Add a new raster layer - Select All - Flood fill black - Selections - Modify - Contract=1 - Delete - Keep selected.  Add a new raster layer - Flood fill with color desired or gradient - Selections - Modify - Contract=7 - Delete - Keep Selected.
Activate black 1 pixel layer - Flood fill black - Selections - Modify - Contract=1 - Delete - Select None.
Activate your 7 pixel colored layer - Adjust - Add/Remove Noise - Add Noise - Gaussian=40% - Monochrome ticked.
Add correct Copyright and your name.

Animation

Locate tree layers in your layer palette.  Close off visibility to tree layers 2 & 3.
Copy Merged - Paste as a new animation in AS.
Back in PSP close off visibility to layer 1 and Open Layer 2 - Copy Merged - Paste after current layer in AS.
Back in PSP close off visibility to layer 2 and Open Layer 3 - Copy Merged - Paste after current layer in AS.
Select all frames in AS - Change Frame Properties to 15
View animation - If you are happy with it save as a GIF.
When saving your animation click on customize and use these settings:

Now on to the Avatar.

Back in PSP Hold Shift down and press the D key to duplicate the tag you just made.
(Just in case we make a boo boo)
Click on your crop tool - Set it to 150px wide by 150px high.
Grab the center node and move the selection to the part you want to use for your avatar.
See example below:

Click on green checkmark to crop - In your layer palette delete all unnecessary layers.  The animation is already on the trees so don't delete any of the tree layers.  Name your tree layers 1, 2 & 3.
Activate top layer - Add a new raster layer - Select All - Flood fill black - Selections - Modify - Contract=1 - Delete - Keep selected.
Add a new raster layer - Flood fill with color or gradient - Selections - Modify - Contract=5 - Delete - Keep selected.
Activate black pixel layer - Flood fill black - Selections - Modify - Contract=1 - Delete - Select None.
Activate color layer - Apply noise with same settings.
Apply appropriate copyright, license number and your name or initial.
Use same animation steps shown above.
Save your Avatar as a Gif and enjoy your new Christmas set!

Here is another example of the same set using the art of Leonardo Preda.

I hope you enjoyed this tut.  If you have problems feel free to e-mail me and I will do my best to help you out.  Stay warm and see ya next time!
